Wonderful Apartment in Cornillon with Terrace and Garden and Beautiful View
The medieval core of the village of Cornillon is high above the Cèze valley. The maisonette apartment is on the first floor and is part of an 18th-centure estate with a farm and a roofed hall. The picturesque little streets of the village, the fountain and the old walls evoke dreams of past times.
The 95m² apartment was renovated in 1996 and can accommodate four to six people. The spacious living room with a wood-burning oven has a comfortable sofa and armchairs, as well as a dining corner and a built-in, solid wood kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a four-ring electric hob, a fridge, toaster, kettle and coffee machine. The parents’ bedroom has a double bed. Some steps lead up to a spacious gallery with a sofa bed and the children’s room with two single beds. The bathroom has a shower and WC.
The round, glass door in the living room opens onto the big sun terrace, furnished with a table, chairs and parasol. The arcade and the garden in the interior courtyard are available for shared use.
The holiday apartment is near the Cévennes and is an excellent starting point for mountain biking and climbing. Picturesque landscapes invite you to go exploring, either on foot, by bike or by car. You can swim in the little Cèze River, about a five-minute drive away, or learn canoeing easily and safely. The larger localities have various hire facilities. The river has carved steps and deep pools in the limestone at La Roque-sur-Cèze. These “Cascades de Sautadet” are a fantastic bathing experience. Up the river you can find a bathing beach by the bridge at St. André de Roquepertuis, where you can also hire canoes.
