This beautifully restored stone house lies about 6 km above Castiglion Fiorentino and impresses with its stunning location at 700m altitude. From here you can let your gaze wander all over the Chiana -valley and enjoy peace and tranquility. This former convent is spread on three levels with different exits to the outside. Natural stone floors and walls are typical for this house, just as fireplaces, arches, niches and great views. Each room is individually and tastefully decorated. The bedroom on the 2nd floor with a sofa bed and single bed is a connecting room. The house is surrounded by various terraces and seating places under shady old trees. Directly below the living area lies the pool with panoramic terrace, gazebo, pool bar. A barbecue, a table tennis and a volleyball-field are also available to guests. The location is Ideal for relaxing and offers at the same time the possibility for day-trips to: Castiglion Fiorentino 6 km, Cortona and Arezzo about 16 km, Montepulciano 35 km, Pienza 40 km, Lake Trasimeno 30 km. Unpaved and steep uphill access road, unsuitable for sports cars and low cars. The owner has wine, own produced olive oil and vegetables for sale; Cook service and extra beds (2) on request (payment on site).

    “Das Haus liegt super schön, man ist für sich alleine, die Aussicht fantastisch. Die Umgebung ist Wald und Olivenfelder. Zum Spazierengehen nicht geeignet, es geht entweder hoch oder runter. Wer die Einsamkeit sucht ist dort genau richtig. Anfahrt nur mit Geländewagen oder Allrad zu empfehlen. Der Weg zum Haus ist teilweise nicht befestigt (wie ein ausgewaschenes Fußbett!). Wir fanden die Nebenkosten für 9 Personen für 14 Tage (es wird nur Strom berechnet) nicht zu hoch.”

    “Das Haus liegt wunderschön, an einem (doch ziemlich schlecht zu erklimmenden) steilen Berg (am besten Geländewagen oder Allrad!). Der Ausblick ist fantastisch. Das Haus selber ist sehr rustikal gebaut, innen zwar oftmals sehr dunkel - aber alles sehr liebevoll, stimmig und einheitlich, in allem sehr gemütlich ausgestattet. Auch die Betten, von denen insgesamt 11 - ansonsten Schlafsofas - sind mit guten Matratzen ausgestattet. Wir waren zu 10. und haben uns alle sehr wohlgefühlt. Unsere Reisezeit war Anfang Juni, also keine Hauptreisezeit, trotzdem zahlten wir zu dem stolzen Preis von 2005 Euro pro Woche (es war keine ganze Woche, da man erst um 16.00 Uhr reindurfte und um 10.00 Uhr wieder gehen musste!) noch dazu sehr hohe Gaspreise. Das fanden wir sehr übertrieben. Insgesamt also toll, aber sehr sehr teuer!”
